Privacy Policy — Guiding Light Park Tours

Yellowstone Safari Inc. (“Yellowstone Safari,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the Guiding Light Park Tours mobile application (“Guiding Light” or the “App”).

Guiding Light offers self-guided GPS-based audio tours and uses location services, mapping technology, and app store purchasing services to deliver its features.

1. Location Information

Guiding Light uses your device's location to provide GPS-based tour functionality, including determining your position, displaying your location on the map, providing navigation assistance, and triggering tour narration when you approach designated locations.

You control access to location information through your device's permission settings. Certain GPS tour features may not function correctly if location permission is disabled.

Yellowstone Safari Inc. does not maintain a database containing your location history and does not use your location for advertising or marketing.

2. Mapbox Mapping Services

Guiding Light uses Mapbox technology to provide maps and related mapping functionality.

When location services and Mapbox features are used, the Mapbox software development kit (“SDK”) may transmit certain information to Mapbox. Depending on the Mapbox services and settings in use, this may include de-identified location information and information concerning use of the map or App.

Mapbox may use this information to provide, maintain, analyze, and improve its mapping services.

Mapbox's handling of information is governed by Mapbox's own privacy practices and policies.

Guiding Light does not sell location information to Mapbox or use Mapbox location information for advertising.

3. App Usage Information

Certain technical information about interactions with mapping functionality may be transmitted through the Mapbox SDK.

This information may include interactions with maps or related app functionality and may be used for analytics and improvement of mapping services.

Yellowstone Safari Inc. does not use this information to create advertising profiles of Guiding Light users.

4. Purchases and Purchase History

Guiding Light offers digital GPS tours as one-time in-app purchases.

On Android devices, purchases are processed through Google Play. On Apple devices, purchases are processed through Apple's App Store.

Yellowstone Safari Inc. does not directly receive or store your complete credit-card, debit-card, or other payment-card information when you make an in-app purchase through Google Play or Apple's App Store.

The App may receive purchase-related information from the applicable app store to determine which Guiding Light tours you have purchased, unlock purchased content, complete transactions, and restore previous purchases.

Payment processing and related information are also subject to the privacy policies and terms of Google or Apple, as applicable.

5. Advertising

Guiding Light does not contain third-party advertising.

We do not use your location information to deliver targeted advertising.

6. Sale of Personal Information

Yellowstone Safari Inc. does not sell users' personal information.

We do not sell users' precise or approximate location information.

7. User Accounts

Guiding Light does not currently require users to create a Yellowstone Safari Inc. or Guiding Light account to use the App.

Purchases may be associated with the Google Play or Apple account used to make the purchase, subject to the applicable platform's policies.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

Yellowstone Safari Inc. does not maintain user accounts or a database of users' location histories through Guiding Light.

Information processed by third-party service providers, including Mapbox, Google, and Apple, may be retained according to those companies' respective policies and legal obligations.

Because Yellowstone Safari Inc. does not maintain individual Guiding Light user accounts or a database of individual location histories, the App does not currently provide an account-based data-deletion feature.

9. Data Security

Guiding Light uses services designed to transmit applicable information securely. Data transmitted between the App and supported online services is transmitted using encrypted connections where applicable.

No electronic transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

10. Children's Privacy

Guiding Light is designed and marketed for adults aged 18 and older. The App is not specifically directed toward children.

Families may use Guiding Light while traveling together, but the App's purchasing and primary operating experience is intended for adults.

We do not knowingly use Guiding Light to collect personal information from children for advertising or marketing purposes.

11. Location Permissions

Location permission is necessary for important Guiding Light GPS tour features.

Users can control or revoke location permission through their device settings. Disabling location access may prevent GPS-triggered narration, positioning, and other location-dependent features from operating correctly.

12. Third-Party Services

Guiding Light relies on third-party services to provide certain functionality, including:

Mapbox — mapping and map-related functionality.

Google Play — Android distribution, in-app purchasing, and related platform services.

Apple App Store — iOS distribution, in-app purchasing, and related platform services.

These companies maintain their own privacy policies and may process information according to their respective terms and policies.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

Yellowstone Safari Inc. may update this Privacy Policy as Guiding Light develops, as third-party services change, or as legal and platform requirements change.

When material changes are made, the updated policy will be published on this page with a revised effective date.
