Yellowstone Lake Summer Discovery | Adventure In The Lava Creek 

Uncover Yellowstone Lake on an exciting small group activity from Jackson Hole Teton Village.  You will appreciate its history and relation to The Lava Creek eruption 640,000 years ago, which created the Lava Creek Tuff and the Yellowstone Caldera(Two other Calderas are Island Park and Huckleberry Ridge Tuff, created by the Huckleberry Ridge explosion 2.1 million years ago; and the Mesa Falls eruption 1.3 million years ago, which created the Mesa Tuff and Henry's Fork Caldera).  The 21-mile Lake Yellowstone has trout, and the surrounding area is home to elk.  At times, you can see bison and grizzlies.  In addition to known facts such as the 144-mile shoreline of the Lake, some secrets only experienced Guides will reveal to you.  It is one of the cornerstones of Yellowstone Tours.
